About us

Shireland Teaching School Alliance is a partnership of like-minded, good and outstanding Secondary and Primary Schools across the West Midlands which, assisted by both the University of Warwick and Newman University, provides initial and continuing teacher education and development of the very highest quality.

The Lead School in our Alliance is Shireland Collegiate Academy; an Ofsted rated Outstanding school.

We believe outstanding teachers absolutely make a difference. Here at Shireland we aim to make a difference to the lives and academic achievement of each and every learner. Join us and inspire a love of learning in young people and change attitudes, aspirations, and their lives forever.

Our Structure

Shireland Teaching School Alliance has a Teaching School Director who works alongside Sir Mark Grundy, Executive Principal of Shireland Collegiate Academy and a National Leader of Education.

The role of the Director is to lead and co-ordinate the work of our wide-ranging strong partnerships through which we can work with educational professionals and schools.
